I am finding that the new generation of Pokemon is a hit or miss.
Some of them are really good, others are total fails.
Like the one that looks like megaman. Lol.

i agree wholeheartedly with that comment. i love some of the new pokemon -- Serperior, Sawstag, Meinshao -- but some of them are just stupid. like that metroid enemy-esque steel/grass type, the matching muppet fighting types, and the legendary ... things with knees that face the wrong way.

i think they had too many designers working on this generation, so there's a huge discrepancy between individual pokemon's designs.

I think you are probably right. Well, you ARE right. It goes from a MegaMan esque Pokemon to a Digimon esque Pokemon then the one that does look like a Pokemon.
BUT that being said. I think that the good outnumbers the bad. But the bad ones, are REALLY bad. The game however, i feel is going to have the best story line yet.
And the game play looks beautiful. Along with the characters actually looking like trainers and not 11 year olds.
MEH. I talk to much about this. Sorry.

i agree. when i first saw sprites from the games i was really kind of put off at first and i didn't like most of what i saw. but they grew on me pretty quick, for the most part, and i think i like more of the fifth gen mons than i dislike at this point. and yessss i am so excited for when BW come out in the US. i played a little on a rom and really enjoyed it (despite not understanding a thing) and i'm seriously looking forward to playing it on a handheld in a language i can understand~

Sweet. I've been dying to talk to someone about this stuff, lol!
The map makes me go CRAZY! It looks so spectacular, I want to explore EVERYTHING! And the Elite Four looks AMAZING.
Yeahh, at first I was like, uhh, don't ruin it, don't look up videos, or the pokedex, let it be a surprise.. But then, i did it, and I'm more excited then EVER!
I watched a few videos on YouTube, and I couldn't understand anything, which I am thankful for, or the story line could've been ruined for me.

i didn't play very much of it when i tried it on that rom, but the fact that it has a desert region makes me love it automatically. i'm such a sucker for desert places in vidja gaemz. i do feel like there was a difficulty spike in these games, though; i got up to aloe's gym and holy crap her dog killed almost my whole team.

i never tried to avoid the info because i thought it'd be futile, lol, and i LOVE LEARNING. i don't know any of the story either, though, so it'll be interesting to unwind with the games coming out~

I never avoid the info the first time I run through any game! Especially Pokemon. I like getting attached to the story, and feeling like I accomplish things.
Me = Dweeb. Ha.
YES! It was difficult!? Oh goodness, FINALLY. I feel like the only trouble i get in the Pokemon games is the Elite 4. And that is USUALLY because of the bloody champion!!

GAH! Talking about it makes me more an more anxious. It is funny because I fell out of the Pokemon loop after Heart Gold released. I only heard about Black and White about 2 weeks ago. I can only imagine if I found out sooner and had to wait THAT long.

this was actually the first generation i really followed as it was developed and stuff got leaked. but i'm not one to care about spoilers, so i enjoyed learning what i could as the information came out!

lol, i know what you mean. i actually haven't beaten fire red completely because i hate grinding and i'm underleveled for the E4. :/ sadface.

Well, I guess I don't care too much for spoiler alerts since I have practically seen every video on B&W that interests me. Haha.

You haven't beaten FireRed?! You're crazy, that was the first game I really made sure I destroyed (except it was LeafGreen). That then Pearl Version. But before that, I sucked.

I like that we're having three conversations in one. Ha, ermm, I saw something about an english rom, but I am pretty sure it was a fake, or else I would have tried it. Once it comes out in english, I don't think I will do anything else but play it. NAH!

Mmm. I wonder if you know.
Is that bug type Pokemon any good? From a gamer's perspective, if you know? It's latest evo is Hahakomori? It looks amazing.
One last question. What was your team? Who was the best Pokemon (If it was your starter, what was your second strongest)?

i knowwww i keep making new games on FR but i never wind up beating them. ;_; it's so bad!

lool yeah. um there were english patched japanese roms. i don't think they ever got fully translated, but they had the names and items and some of the dialouge translated.

ahhh i really didn't play that long! last i was, i ended off in some forest with a bunch of plasma grunts in it. :C you mean the bug/grass kind of humanoid one, right? i personally think the bug/poison centepede was way cooler. um i think my team was smugleaf, tabunne, zeburaika, that pidgeon guy, and the dumb water monkey, who actually turned out to be a big help. i think my best pokemon was the bird or the water monkey, but smugleaf's grass mixer was boss and destroyed everything!

REALLY now?! The monkey actually helped? This surprises me.. The monkeys looked kinda dumb to me. ;-;.. BUT yes! The humanoid one! It looks SO cool to me! But yes, I see the centepede being better from what I have heard/seen. My most anticipated catch? Churine and Monmen. I LOVE grass types. O-O'

Lol about FR. I chose Blastoise, Pidgeot.. And some others, I owned that game. ~

i was surprised too, especially since the water monkey is so very stupid looking and i'm not really a fan of water types in general. i personally like the fire and grass ones, though. aaaah the pokemon i want to catch the most is Sawstag and Meinshao. i'm a sucker for deer and weasels and when they introduced one of each i was so excited~

each time i play through FR i try to pick different pokemon, but i always wind up with a Charizard, Nidoking, Pidgeot, and some other pokemon... so much for making new teams. pff

Not a huge water fan either. But I too am excited for the deer! Like crazy excited!! It's way better then Stantler! I just googled the weasel, it looks interesting.. Lol.

stantler was cool, but Sawstag is superior in every way. and the way he changes with the seasons is such a cool touch! and yeah. it's a kung fu/xiaolin/bamf weasel, and even if he's kind of this generation's furry bait, i still like him. :C

lol my FR isn't cursed. i'm just lazy. it takes effort to grind and go fight the elite four and ... effort isn't really my thing. sadly.

Lol, just go the extra mile through the whole game, like battle wild Pokemon every now and then, that way, when you get there, there is barely an grinding needed.

i know some of the names they gave the new pokemon are rater...lackluster. but whatever! we will have to cope. as long as they keep on letting us nickname our pokemon, the real names won't really matter all that much.
