Description I can't believe I sunk 25 hours into this. Cleanup took a while too.
But Howl is one of my favorite characters so it's ok.

I changed Sophie's hair color back to brunette because it looks better on screen next to Howl's white shirt. Miyazaki didn't play by the rules (Sophie's hair is red in the book) and neither shall I.

It's stationary, dig it.

Only 25 hours? Something like this would probably have taken me a lot longer than that! Anyway, Miyazaki's movies are all awesome but I especially love Howl's Moving Castle. It's very different from the book, but that's okay with me since they're both good. I do think they should have kept Sophie's hair red-gold, though, and her temper a bit more like in the novel.

Wow, how sad. I can't really remember what color hair she had at all... Dang, how lame am I? And considering how obsessed I was with this for the longest time... Ha ha ha! My bad!

I really, really like this piece. For starters, just like you, I adore Howl (and Sophie) to death. Still one of my favorite movies, to be honest. But this piece... Seriously, the time and effort you put into it shows. It looks really, really nice. Howl looks awesome! He's got that... nice air about him, that fancy look that just goes with him. And Sophie looks so energetic and fun!

Seriously, it's really nice. In fact, if I ever get around to writing stuff (maybe when I'm in Japan), I may just have to use this~!

I'm so glad you like it. I always find your comments to be clear and executed skillfully versus the general blabber of "ZOMG I <3 HOWL n' SOPHIE!QDBNOWQ". I'm glad you can see an improvement, I myself cannot but that's because I've been staring at them all for so long.

Anyhow, I'd eventually like to get a system setup where I can print out my stationary and sell them and give them as gifts. Maybe I'll get to that point and ship some samples to you. ˆˆ

Hey, that'd be awesome!! A lot of your stuff is so fun and unique, and to find stuff like that around here... We'll, it's tough. I've really liked a lot of them--it makes me wish I had more use for stationary. But hey, I'm leaving the country, right? Ha ha ha! I'll have to be sending some letters!

Ooh, looks great! I love the expressions, you did a great job trying Miyazaki's style here~ The background is simple but is a nice contrast to Howl and Sophie. I love this movie<3

hahah thanks. I could've easily sunk another 25 hours into this too. It looks pretty good for now I believe. If my client doesn't think so, well then I can work on the next 25 XD

Someday...

SOMEDAY...

I will watch this.

I've only seen one of Miyazaki's (SP?) movies. I should really catch up on them, he's such an awe inspiring artist in film making.

You definitely should rent it. It's a nice little movie. It's not my favorite, but close because the characters are so wacky.

Actually, I recommend reading the book first. It's by Dianne Wynne Jones. It covers loads that the movie doesn't and Miyazaki's storyline diverges about half way from the book plot.
