Description The whole set of gear was designed so I'd have something to wear when it is too hot out to wear my scale armor, and also so I'd have extra parts to add to the scale armor in cooler weather for more armor points and what not.

This armor is made from 20 ga steel plates that have been riveted to a backing made from stoned oil leather

ALso, do you have pictured of the undersides? I'm curious how you attached the pieces together and how they will go on your arm/shoulder.

I dont have any pictures of the undersides, but the assembly is pretty standard as far as this style of pauldron goes.  Two or three straps run along the inside attaching to the top of each plate allowing for the plate underneath it to slide far enough up so as to allow for a wide range of motion.  And yes, you can raise your arms above your head with this particular pauldron.

Is it possible to raise your arms above shoulder level while wearing these?

Beautiful clean and simple! Couple questions though, if I may?
Just curious what kind of rivets did you use to secure the plates? They look like the gunmetal finish ones sold by Tandy but I have a hard time believing that can be true. I wouldn't think they would hold up securing steel plate for long, even 20G (though I am a noob when it comes to armor making and leather work). Also, did you fold in the edges as to make it battle safe or just leave them as to costume grade?

Thanks!

Would it be O.K if I use this design, but change it, to suit one of my character designs?
It is such a cool looking pauldron.

Wow, that turned out awesome. Where are you getting your leather from? The leather shop by me ended up closing down before I could buy any.

Still, beautiful work as always from you. You just keep getting more and more bad ass with every one.

I get my leather from Tandy Leather Factory's website. They usually have some pretty good sales going on, which is good, cause Im poor.

And just wait until you see what I have planned for my next project!
