This is amazing where is this taken? the state or park(if its in one)

This is such an amazing photo, and an amazing tree.
God/creator/big bang also needs a "favorites" button haha

also what regions would you find a tree like this?
I am so captured by it, I want to see one for myself at some point.

Thank you !

This was taken on Johns Island in Charleston, South Carolina, USA ! This is a 400+ year old live oak tree known as the "Angel Oak" I shot several other captures of this tree, some with people for size comparison if you want to check them out in my gallery. Live oak trees are pretty wide ranging but seem to be predominantly located in warmer areas along the Atlantic and gulf coast of the USA.

I really recommend that if you get a chance to see something like this, take it ! The experience of seeing something this old and magnificent (especially something thats alive) is really beyond words !

Thats what the website I looked it up on told me at first as well. Obviously the brochures and info at the actual tree said otherwise haha

Excellent image, has a real graphic quality to it, and the sepia treatment works really well. Would make a fantastic fine art print I'd imagine.
