A time after this, Waluigi was speaking to King K. Rool about Ridley being called for Smash. And then K. Rool was called and he had the same reaction as Ridley.

Hahaha he finally hit the big time! It's been a long time coming. Even as a non fan of Smash, I know Ridley's (or rather... his fans) plight.

Smash for 3DS was my first game of this series and i was really excited. After introducing Ultimate, i was really fascinated seeing Ridley coming as new fighter.
Well, the thing with Waluigi: it's a shame, that he still gets no chance, but it's still better to be in the game as an assist trophy, then never be in the game at all.

Same, for me. I just started Smash with the 3DS. I never even got to play it that much because I got tired of it after my SD card (and all my progress) got corrupted. But it sure got me interested in the series, and now I'm pretty hyped with Ultimate too.
I'm wondering if it's an internal joke or something with rarely giving Waluigi a chance to shine.

People say, it's because Sakurai hates Waluigi. But i think he deserves better. They should give him a chance. It mustn't be in Smash, but maybe in another game. Eventually in a new Wario Land game as Warios Partner (like Luigi as Marios companion). He's popular enough to deserve a chance to be number 1, no matter what game that should be.

Man, as someone who wanted Ridley in Super Smash Bros. for so long, I'd never gloat about it to Waluigi fans, particularly since we've been on the receiving end of that kind of treatment from people who wanted Mewtwo, Lucas, and Roy to come back in Smash for 3DS/Wii U.

You should know, im a really big fan of both of them. It was never my intention to gloat anybody with this cartoon.
I also think it's sad, that Waluigi fans were ignored by Nintendo again, but i also think: it's better to be in the game as an assist trophy than not to be in it anyway.
