Description This painting is actually 2 weeks old.. I painted it the day I first watched the anime"Arashi no Yoru ni" aka "One Stormy Night" however... I rathed didn't like the result so very much and skipped the idea of posting it here on DA..

but, since I've been so busy with school and such and thus havn't posted anything new for allmost 2 weeks now. I decided I could allways post this after all.. since it isn't THAT bad has I first though..

Anyhow.. this is a scene from the movie where Mei and Gabu, are sitting on a high montain looking down on where they used to live.. what I don't like about this picture is that the colours came out looking so wague and muddy..

Mediums used: Watercolours..

thanks, watercolours are really fun to do when one just have found a motive to colour^^
I woulnd't say watercolours are that hard to learn by one self, one just have to get a decent thick paper to colour on and remeber to use little water when the colours are supposed to be sharp and alot of water when the colours are supposed to be vague..

Cool, personally I like a bit of lightning (be careful with the lighting effects on the ground though, holy crap it can make a picture look weird), but overall a good little watercolour. Still haven't seen the film yet.

hey have you seen that anime too? allways fun to meet others who liked it as for outlineing the two.. naw somtimes outling doesn't fit the picture.. it gives too much focus on the two..

Hey, why are you so selfcritical? I think, that the coulours are very nice, I like especially the darker greenline, where you can see higher grass and the river is cute... so what's wrong about it, he? The athmosphere is a mixure of happiness and a little bit melancholic, but also very 'close' (the relationship between each other). It's just cute!

SteinWill In reply to Mutabi [2006-12-01 01:19:26 +0000 UTC]

well... perhaps.. it's just that I coloured this after the backgrounds from the movie, and they were beautiful! so it was kinda easy to get upset when one could easily see the huge difference between this and the movie..
but when I look upon it now, I'm quite pleased with it.. (as long one is viewing it from a distance)

Okay, but drawing like some scenery in a movie that seems also too hard for me. I don't know the film, and so I am just able to enjoy your picture...

Yeah, I've been meaning to. YouTube's been cracking down on copyright, though.

Doesn't necessarily mean that nobody posts copyrighted stuff there. If you're quick you can still find stuff like Avatar.
