I wanted to draw something heartwarming for KotoUmi and I still wanna work on balancing things out by drawing more art for some of my Love Live OTPs that I draw as much. I can totally see Umi impusively putting herself in harm's way specificially to protect Kotori. The whole "knight in shining armor" concept fits Umi pretty well, especially if it involves Kotori.
