Umi gripped Kotori by her shoulders, looking her in the eyes with intense seriousness. "Kotori...""Wha...What is it, Umi?" Kotori replied, suddenly breathless.
"I just want you to know that I... lo...lo..." Umi's face was turning a deep shade of red as she stumbled on her words.
"Umi loooves you!" Honoka sudden blurt out nearby, making smooching sounds. Tsubasa was standing next to her and was trying her best not to laugh.
"Honoka!" Umi exclaimed angrily.
Kotori just rolled her eyes in amusement. She already knew that Umi loved her but it was always nice to hear her say it or at least attempt to.
I can see Umi being really shy about telling Kotori she loves her, especially in a public setting.
