Description The traditionally colored version.
Arcade Gannon is a character from Fallout New Vegas, the deathclaw is an OC of mine named Geiger. In the fan fiction, Geiger was injured shortly after hatching and would have died except that a very eccentric person (a Fallout OC of mine) found him and wanted to save him. This other character brought Geiger to Arcade and convinced the doctor to heal him, which Geiger remembers as an adult. Also, as some of you might recognize from the horns, Geiger is no ordinary deathclaw. (Much of this isn't obvious from the lineart) Geiger is, as an adult, an alpha male. He is also albino, somewhat more irradiated and somewhat more intelligent than most deathclaws (his intelligence is about the same as a first grader, he is mute, but he understands basic concepts and can write very basic words (by scratching them out with his claws.))

Know good and well you have the finished version of this in your gallery but I like this one most of all cause it really fits well into the whole gritty and sandy nature of the Fallout universe if that makes sense, lol.

So hot damn that is one awesome Deathclaw and I'm definitely one into the whole idea of there being more to the creatures in Fallout compared to just killing everything that moves.  Here you have a great character and I love the name as well the whole idea of the colors for him and the way you draw him most of all!

You have such a great knack for details and drawing monsters you'd seem right on track with video game artists or even movies too with the level of focus and depth you seem to put in.  And well done on the little write-up for the guy but I like most of all the way you portray him in the image here almost smiling and he comes up to your other character, Arcade.

Even then I cannot deny how well made that Deathclaw looks and just seeing the endless ways you built up the scales, the horns and even the massive and hulking figure of him is just insane.  I can't do something like you did here unless I had about a damn year to accomplish it but that all said I really applaud with your dedication put towards Geiger and paying great homage to the original creature from the game itself.

Thought Geiger takes alot of the picture I do like the shock and even bewilderment you did show with Arcade here and I just love it so much.  I would pay so much money to play a game where you have a Deathclaw pet in Fallout and likewise a nice simple gesture with the way Geiger seems to be moving in for a hug compared to arms up and claws out like most other Deathclaws, lol.

Still can't get past how long you must have spent adding in the details, shading and bits of lighting to this image.  You are by far one of the most incredible traditional artists I've seen in a while and the colors here again match the feel of Fallout for it dry and desert-like feel.  Be very proud of this Stella, not many deviants out there could accomplish a wonderful idea like you crafted here. *cheers*

Thanks, it really did take me a while to draw this.  ^w^  And I do feel like the traditional version really matches the feel of Fallout much better than the digital one.  Also, Arcade is a character from Fallout, he's not my character.  And Geiger is most definitely moving in for a hug.  I'd love it if Bethesda ever made deathclaw pets a possibility as well.  ^w^

Well with mods out these days there Stella you never know!  Just as well thanks for the updates on the characters, I'll have to go and research them a bit more because that Arcade sounds pretty damn awesome!  Just as well keep up the wickedly creative artwork your doing, whether this year or the next! *tips hat*
