My second OC for the Jujutsu Kaisen series: Kotori Yamato aka Tori!
She's Kanao's best friend, and they've known each other since middle school. She uses ofuda to detect curses and exorcise them.

However, she would apologize soon afterward since she would regret physically assaulting them.When engaging in combat, Kotori thinks before she acts since she can’t make a mistake that she would end up lamenting over. She is a rational thinker, believing in common sense and strategic planning. For that reason, Kotori tends to be serious at times.Abilities and PowersOverall Skill Level: Kotori is a Grade 3 Jujutsu Sorcerer due to her excellence at detecting curses, and she possesses an impressive physical strength thanks to partaking in karate. However, she cannot take on opponents with a physical strength that is higher than hers, like men who have muscular appearances.JujutsuCursed Energy Manipulation Great Cursed Energy: Kotori possesses a high amount of cursed energy, and she can channel it into her ofuda that she uses.Innate Technique Ofuda Technique: Spirit Bomb - When Kotori hurls an ofuda at the target, it explodes on impact, releasing an expansion of cursed energy and causing great damage to the target. Ofuda Technique: Spirit Caller - Kotori uses an ofuda to sense cursed energy. The closer she gets to a cursed spirit, the stronger the senses become.Barrier Technique Ofuda Technique: Divine Barrier - this ofuda erects a luminous white barrier to shield anyone inside it from cursed spirits. The barrier lasts for two minutes, giving Kotori and her allies some time to strategize while being protected.Cursed Tools Kotori uses ofuda, paper talismans that she channels her cursed energy into when she throws them at cursed spirits. She can also use ofuda to sense curses, like a metal detector would to metals, as well as build up barriers for defensive purposes. However, because of the paper material, it can be easily cut.HistoryKotori was born and raised in Yokohama, before moving to Mitaka with her family at the age of 10. She was mentored by her mother, who was also a sorcerer, mastering the art of using ofuda and channeling her cursed energy into them. She became an impressive sorcerer with an excellent ability to sense and exorcise curses after two years of training. However, she lacked the physical strength needed to take on opponents with a muscular build.The Yamato family ran a shrine, with her grandmother as the head owner and priestess. Her mother and older brother Daisuke would often help her run the shrine, with Kotori sometimes pitching in to do chores around the shrine.When Kotori was 13, she met Kanao in middle school, when Kanao was being picked on by a group of bullies. Kotori stood up for her, fighting off the bullies with her karate moves. Kanao thanked Kotori for saving her, and they had become extremely close ever since.Four years later, Kotori enrolled in Tokyo Jujutsu High, with the purpose of becoming stronger as an ofuda-wielding sorcerer, as well as fulfilling her dream of becoming the new head of her family’s shrine.Additional InformationKotori’s surname contains the reading of the kanji for “great” (大 ‘yama’) and “harmony” (和 ‘to’), and the reading of the kanji for “small bird” (小鳥 ‘kotori’).Her hobby is watching movies, preferably the horror genre.
