Sukuna: "The way the human body creates a life... it's incredible."

This scene is from a SukuHisa origin story, which I would plan to write in the future. It takes place during Hisako's pregnancy with their firstborn: their son, Suzaku.

Inspired by a red bird that had just perched onto a branch in front of them, Sukuna has chosen a name for their first child if it is a boy: Suzaku. The name means “vermillion sparrow” and is a reference to the Bird Guardian of the South, one of the four symbols of Chinese constellations. Hisako approves of the name, and they share a sweet kiss as they feel their baby kicking inside of Hisako’s womb, with the bird watching them closely.

3/19/2023: the illustration is completed! I added a hallway into the open doorway that leads to the King and Queen’s zen garden.
