This piece is a total repaint of my original post Flower Moon about a year ago. I wanted to correct a tiny---tiny--hairline scatch on a 18x24 special print.Well
I spent much time---well over 50 hrs---oil painting--changes---color and additions. Whew---what a pain---but I do like it 
I still have the original "Flower Moon" So this--in a way---is a new piece

Cool! You found flower moon. Thank you. That piece is a little sneaky. Hint. The title. I didn't plan this, but I never do, it just turned out the way it did.
Glad your going back a little bit in time with my galary. There's some real good ones many people never saw.
btw, although there are hundreds of images in most of my pieces--In The Depths is not only loaded, but works great any which way. I have one in a gallary and one on the wall here. The canvas print is so beautiful. Even I keep seeing new things. You know. Looking from different angles, lighting, and all the rest.

This is one of my very favorites of yours, Steve! I love the redo....you should do more like this - flowers, etc. - in a similar vein....you're very good at it!! Very nice!

I certianly like the colours in this, the vividness and vibrancy is what strikes me first and foremost about Flower Moon. The incorporation of eyes adds that touch of surrealism that is both haunting but at the same time, familiar.

Thank you. I like the way it came out---it took enough time. lol I painted over the original print---not original---and it went this way---took a ton of time---just because I wanted to touch up this little nothing on it---I'm real careful about touching any of my prints unless I understand things can get totally out of control very quickly

Ah yes, I remember the first one... I've had a look at them both again, and I must say I think this is a great improvement. The colours are more vibrant and the whole thing appears to be scintillating, shining away there. It's like each strip of colour has shapein three dimentions.
It must be funny to revisit old things like this

yes---I think so too---but---2 woman here in town still prefer the first one---as they say--different strokes........
The older ones that are funny to revisit are the 10 and 20 year old ones---I found an old colored one. At that time I didn't consider myself an artist in any way shape or form--well--I thought that 2 or 3 years ago actually as you may remember.

thank you Looking Glass. I should post the framed original when it's done (being framed I mean). The guys at the framing place (ACMoore) helped me pick out such a nice compliment double thin frame for this---can't wait to see it.

So you know ACMoore outlets? I'll be posting a pic of it---I did take a picture of them up at the store.
It all started when I was taking a few of my originals there to discuss framing--etc. Anyway---the manager saw a few of my pieces and knew I was a local artist, so he asked me if I would like to display some of my work (I didn't ask them to do this). Of course I said --"that would be great" That's how it happened.
I have to say---it's a great place. It's like a family there---a real personel store even with the thousands of people that go there. That was real nice of the manager to offer that.
So yes---sweets--that's the deal. I have other things in the works---I'll let you all know when they go down. :hugs:
