This is my new fanmade custom posable art doll, Amaterasu, inspired from the game Okami.

She was made entirely from scratch. Starting off as a lump of clay and a few bits of wire, she gradually transformed into the little cutie you now see before you!

I hand sculpted the head and feet from clay onto a wire frame then wrapped stuffing around the armature to bulk her out and to give her a realistic softness. The faux fur was then hand sewn on and glued down to prevent the fur from lifting. I then hand painted the clay in acrylic paints and covered it in matt varnish to protect the paint from scratches. Finally I glossed the eyes and nose to give it a wet look.

Amaterasu's tail tips have been hand dyed black and the red markings on her side have been painted on. Glitter has been applied to both head and feet to give a magical look! Feathers have been hot glued and sewed to her two front elbows and a black line has been painted along the outlines to give it an 'ink' look. The reflector shield on her back is made from clay and the iridescent flames were made using angelina film. 7 rhinestones have been stuck down onto the reflector for decoration.

She measures 6 inches tall, and from nose to tail (tail extended) 21 inches.
