To me the earth is also verry special, never understoot why because its a lot more than my relatives but still, I do believe in things they do not^^.

can you tell me the consept of this art serie of yours?
What is it? and why did you made it? and of course why did you made, it in this way? ^^

Something to the concept:
Eath-colours have a lot of qualities they are not so costly, they have a good light-resistance and they are easy to use in each medium like water and oil. So you can make them yourself by bought earth-pigments or collect coloured earth from different places and mill them to pigments. So it is a primitive (the archetype of) colour used, from the stone-age till now. so I also used some rough sticks to hold the canvas. It might be that the sticks (trees) are holding the Painting (earth) together. Or bringing some earth into a building hand hang it permanently on the wall will bring you to watch it and think about the Earth.

I made it for I'm a painter
the way I made it is an experiment and the series changed later to "Himmel und Erde"

hope I could give you some answers
