yeah, I realize this is about my third comment in one day, but anywho - this is totally something I do... so thanks for actually putting the thought out there. this is, again, awesome.

wow here goes (note im not speaking native english):
-I created a world with about of 117 races drawing the front and craneal difference because the body is the same (furry/anthro type) just in case if already go to make a videogame story or comic i have a base world to work.
- i have at least 30 proyects to games and comics i which no surprise: i only have 2-3 working seriously when i can

The typical example of do goals too big beyond of your reach
however im have faith to at least end one or two of these for the simply joy to do it and if possible make the people read/play or see feel something, something they can enjoy.

still the country in im living not see this things as something valuable except this "make" money making a survival living mode of think, put aside the feelings doing your art, becoming more flat.

sometimes i like to do all this (my art/games) to be contrary to society im living and... who's know expect something explode and take all they for surprise!!

Do you realize that I discovered this because I'm currently surfing the internet, avoiding my college homework?

However, you've inspired me to be better and look at work in a completely new light. Β Thank you! Β

ShadowSketched [2013-10-25 21:05:36 +0000 UTC]

This is me with homework! I really hate doing homework the last minute, but apparently that's all I do sometimes... I've made it so much better this year though, because in the beginning it showed in my grades horrifically. It's still very hard to do something you'd rather not, today I feel like slipping into old habits though.Β

Although, it's pretty bad when you put off doing things you love just to do some lazy boring things! (I actually do that sometimes, ugh)

I'm putting off homework as we speak, I should go do that now... ahgghh, gee thanks Stephen.

I've always appreciated your comics... so honest and raw and stuff I can easily relate to. You're totally right about the "I learned to procrastinate at college" thing. I didn't realize that before but I unintentionally developed that habit too.

Thanks! Yeah, I'm still working through it-- even though I draw comics about the right way to do things I often mess up.

It's the paradox of being a dreamer, we're full of ambition and original ideas but our dreamy nature makes it hard for us to commit to them.

Yeah, it's hard to translate ideas into reality.

Reminds me of what I read in the bible:

Proverbs 21:25

"The desire of the slothful killeth him; for his hands refuse to labour."

It can be so hard to start work when you're used to being lazy or just not having much to do. I have a similar problem, school was great and all, but it didn't give me much to do when I got home so I got into lazy habits. Now that I've finished school when I'm home it becomes hard to motivate myself to do anything. But at work it's easier to motivate myself, less distractions and it's a place of work rather then relaxation.Β

Β I know a few artists fix the problem of being unable to work by working somewhere that isn't home, like a studio.Β
