For the last 4 months now, I've planned to take a night ride up to the Zugspitze (2.962m) on the night of full moon. For the last 4 months the weather has been really bad on the respective days/nights.

This month, on September 23 the weather in Innsbruck looked fine, no clouds and wonderful blue sky, so I decided to give it another try and so I drove to Ehrwald on the Austrian side of the Zugspitze.

And, what a nice surprise, the mountain was, once again covered in clouds so I didn't have too high hopes on seeing anything up there. But as I was already there, I took the cable car up to the summit anyways....

This is 6 shots panorama from the German side of the ZUgspitze, looking towards the North. As you can see there are lots of clouds and some 20 minutes later, everything was covered by clouds again, and you couldn't see anything anymore....
