Description This is a crochet blanket made from granny squares. This took considerably longer than my other blankets because it is not only larger, but also making 100 granny squares seems to take me more time then simply making an 'infinite blanket' (link: stettafirezero.deviantart.com/ā€¦ ). I might still make this blanket bigger, I'll keep you posted if I do.

That is so great!
Big respects for doing this!
Really well done!
I love crochet,Ā  but lately IĀ  haven't made much with it, I miss it...
What's Your technic to hold the string?
I roll it around my finger and let it loose one turn at the time - I find this way most controlable... especially for tiny precised things like net around the small stones.

Thank you I started learning about a year ago and it's pretty cool. I was already familiar with knitting, and I think that helped a little.

I have a bent little finger so my holding of the wool is a little unorthodox. I know a lot of people who wrap it around their little finger, but I find it tends to catch on my finger's curve and then it tugs. Instead, I essentially pinch the wool between my middle and index finger and I manage to keep it more or less consistent in regards to the tension.Ā

Ow, about rolling on the little finger I never heared...
I roll it on the first finger - I think You call it index -(because it is used to point things)-
Thank You for answer!

That is really interesting, it's cool how different people use different grips

I tried this way holding just between finger but I find it takes super much energy while if it is rolled on the first finger it does give good support for regulation of the string.

Little finger have lot less strenght than the first one -(I don't mean thumb ofcours - this one I use to hold the work togheter with middle finger and the index finger is up in the air)
