Description
The working title for this piece was "Willing Victim." You see, this girl has fallen to the oldest ploy in fiction. She wants the handsome, ageless, flowing white haired vampire hunk to take her away from this dreary existence. This he does by not actually changing anything, except that now her same dreary existence will last forever, she has to eat people, and the sun will kill her. So yeah, she's totally making out on this deal.Anyway, that's what the ribbon is about. It's her sign, as she struts right in through the gates of Stensia, that she really wants Markov to give her the business, vampire style. Which of course isn't nearly as hot as it sounds. It's over in five seconds and all you've got to show for it is a slobbery-cold and punctured neck.
Still, Markov would eat Edward for breakfast and still have room for a Denny's Grand Slam.

One of my fav flavour cards from innistrad. i would put it kinda like this: If you cannot outrun the darkness, all you can do is to become a shadow yourself.

Initially when I saw this card it looked as though she was the chosen of Markova in that she should not be harmed, since in the lore he sees vampirism as a curse and a degree of beauty in life at times. It seemed as though the red band was a sign to other vampires that she shouldn't be bitten. Anyway nice work

Markov is the name of a family of vampires that rule Innistrad, a plane in Magic: The Gathering populated by humans, as well as a cadre of undead or horrific monsters (Zombies, Werewolves, etc...).

When you say "Markov", are you referring to Sorin Markov? Or simply the Markov family?
From the Dark Ascension trailer (particularly when Sorin says "Others, sensing the inevitable, give themselves... freely"), I always thought Chosen of Markov was simply a girl who was chosen to become a vampire by a random Markov family member.
