Description DONE!
Ok, I have been working on this since may time... I think.
The info about the model is as follows:
Polys: 248,326
Objects: 420
Render Time: 4Hrs 46mins @ 1600x1200 on AMD64 4000+ at 2.47Ghz
Rendered and Modeled in Cinema 4D R10

Thanks to everyone who has commented on the WIPs
Thanks for looking
Comments and Welcome

-EDIT-
I finally fixed the logo! Though now I have found some errors. Shall fix those, do a higher quality render and then... in theory fix the print too.

More fixes, front wing, ground clearance, little tiny bits and a higher resolution.

Thanks man - it's been a few years since ive used Cinema 4D, doing some stuff in Solidworks these days (I prefer parametric stuff)

No problem and I used to be good with Oxygen, which was for Operation Flashpoint (also much easier to make stuff with as well).

awwww - don't do that to me!
Sadly I lost this model, and many others in an epic hard drive failure a while back. I can assure you I've learnt my lesson when it comes to backing up!

Thanks for the comment though!

Excellent! Amazing modelling. I feel the low-res lego technic logo takes a bit away from it, though. Maybe recreate the logo by retracing the lines? Also the side of the front fender is at a bit of an angle with its connectors. Minor crits aside, you certainly deserve a fav.

I agree with the Technic logo, its the best i could find.. i might re-make it though.

Excellent, well worth the wait! One criticism though, the render is lush, but the image is ruined with the low-quality Lego technic logo in the corner

Looks f'n great. How bout a 1280x1024 version? I'd love a desktop one.

Looking at this gave me the an idea, if you like I could email you the .c4d of my lego truck, and you could quickly whip up a trailer for it, put your car on the trailer, and render up a collaboration Let me know if you're interested.

Hey stevee, looks fantastic! another
Question for you.. how did you set up that scene? I've never set up a studio render, and I was looking to do one... And I was having a bitch of a time figuring a good way to do it

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

steveee In reply to JoKeR0720 [2006-08-15 20:18:47 +0000 UTC]

There is a sky, with a 100% White luminance material on it, with a compositing tag with "Seen by Camera" unchecked.
Then just a plain floor, no material... turn on GI, turn off Auto Light and your good to go!
Thanks for the comment too

JoKeR0720 In reply to steveee [2006-08-16 12:46:57 +0000 UTC]

That's it.... that simple? WTF... I was trying curved floors and all kinds of silly shit... I guess I would use an 'environment' channel to get good reflections then right?
