Description Character Art for an Online game.

This is the second version of the last character art I submitted. The previous version he was more of a warrior and at the beginning of his Power. This version he no longer needs weapons and basically just uses his powers to conquer his enemies.

I did most of the painting with Sketchbook Pro, also used Paint Tool SAI and photoshop.

Man, this guy looks like a real badass! Diggin those flames! I also dig the feel of that cloak - feels real soft. I'm awful with texture.

Really menacing stuff.

the fire is done very nicely man! I've been wondering how people intergrate pictures of flame into there drawing

Thank you There are several ways you can do it, you can use a picture of fire and use it as a color palette. Mimic the same shapes and colors, then use the blur tool to simulate movement. Motion blur to be more specific. Or you can go to cgtextures.com and download some textures to help aid in the shapes, you can paste it as a new layer and then lower the opacity pretty low to help aid. I would love to be able to do everything by hand but sometimes you need help, textures are a nice way to help. Most professionals you see that have these really detailed paintings with textures use the same format, they'll paint as much as they can by hand but then overlay textures to make the painting pop or even custom brushes that will do the textures for them. Hop that helps.

Thank you! Yeah I think in the game he's pretty powerful and just leaves a path of destruction everywhere he goes. Even a ball of fire follows him when he walks.
