Description
This is a collage I made of the Richard Grayson Robins. Douglas Croft from Batman (1943). Johnny Duncan from Batman and Robin (1949). Burt Ward from Batman (1966), Equal Pay Public Service Announcement commercial (1973) and Legends of the Superheroes (1979). An unidentified actor from 1990 DC publicity wearing the new Robin costume approved by Tim Burton for a sequel [Ricky Addison Reed was cast as the Grayson Robin for Batman (1989) but was written out of Batman (1989), and Marlon Wayans as Drake Winston was written out of Batman Returns, and the Warner Studio decided they didn't want Tim Burton to direct a 3rd after the "too dark" backlash at Batman Returns so we never got Leonardo DiCaprio or whoever as the Grayson Robin for Tim Burton's 3rd]. Chris O'Donnell from Batman Forever (1995) and Batman & Robin (1997). Brenton Thwaites from Titans (2018-2021).
I'm calling him Richard Grayson because the name "Dick" is outdated and became slang for penis and used as an insult [even in Batman (1989) Alexander Knox says "Whatta dick!"].
I left out Peter Deyell as Grayson Robin from the Batman (1966) screen test since Deyell was suppose to be the same Robin as Burt Ward, so I just have Burt Ward to represent William Dozier's Robin.

I left out Ricky Addison Reed cast as Grayson Robin because his Robin was written out of Batman (1989). In Rolling Stone magazine [June 1989] Tim Burton explained, "If there’s another movie, Robin would have to be established at the beginning, not be crammed into the third act."

It's explained in Comics Shop News #179 (1990) that "The new Robin costume was chosen by Batman film director Tim Burton from several possible designs. 'Burton chose this particular costume because he felt it was closest to the darker tone of the movie,' DC said."

I left out Marlon Wayans cast as "the Kid" Drake Winston because he wasn't the Grayson Robin and he was written out of Batman Returns.
Tim Burton explained, "We tried really hard to work him in. In fact, we weren't even sure that the Kid would definitely be Robin. No matter what we did, though, he screwed up Batman's loner psychology, which is the deeper aspect of the character. Although I didn't think about it at the time I hired Marlon [Wayans], I realized after he was cut that a lot of people would have made a fuss about Batman having a black sidekick."

I left out James Deen as Burt Ward's Robin from Batman XXX (2010) parodying Batman (1966) with Dale DaBone as Adam West's Batman, Lexi Belle as Yvonne Craig's Batgirl, Stewart Tain as Alan Napier's Alfred, Jack English as Neil Hamilton's Commissioner Gordon, David Alan as Stafford Repp's Chief O'Hara, Randy Spears as Cesar Romero's Joker, Tori Black as Julie Newmar's Catwoman, Evan Stone as Frank Gorshin's Riddler, Kimberly Kane as Lee Meriwether's Lisa Carson and Alexis Texas as Jill St. John's Molly.

I left out Jimmy Fallon as Gary from the Saturday Night Live "Saturday TV Funhouse" segment sketch "The Ambiguously Gay Duo: The Dark, Clenched Hole of Evil" [season 36, 2011], with Jon Hamm as Ace, parodying the homosexual Batman and Robin accusations by Fredric Wertham in Seduction of the Innocent (1954), and the intentionally homoerotic Batman and Robin portrayal by Joel Schumacher in Batman Forever (1995) and Batman & Robin (1997). Fredric Wertham first popularized the fantasy of Batman and Robin as homosexual in 1954, and that perception also lead to gay director Joel Schumacher deliberately trying to make his version of Batman and Robin homoerotic with an obviously adult diva Robin and a sugar daddy Batman, rubber nipples as if the costumes are just painted on male nude bodies, semi-aroused looking large codpieces and male butt closeups.

Joel Schumacher even referred to Fredric Wertham when he said, "This all started way before me. Long before I came along, someone wrote a whole thing about what the real message of fairy tales and children’s stories are. Snow White was all about having bad stepmothers. And Batman and Robin are two homosexual men living in a cave, living together. There’s always been this thing about Batman and Robin being gay." www.vulture.com/2020/06/joel-s…
Joel Schumacher said, "I never thought it was an important moment in gay cinema, but hey, I’ll take it. I think the other surprising thing was the nipples on the Batsuit. It got so much attention. The suits became sexier. I’ve never been closeted. Yes, I’m gay; yes, I direct movies."

Batman co-creator Bill Finger retorted against Fredric Wertham's homosexual accusations in 1972, "I knew many homosexuals, but I certainly didn’t think of Batman in those terms. I thought of it in terms of Frank Merriwell and Dick Merriwell, his half-brother, who was the kid he was taking care of. Certainly there’s no homosexual relationship. It was just that the author realized that you’ve gotta have somebody to talk to. A sidekick. Sherlock Holmes had Watson—were they homosexuals? Baloney. You just can’t have your hero walking around thinking aloud all the time. He’d be ready for the men in white coats after a time. So we created a junior Watson and that’s all Robin was."

I left out Andy Richter as Robin from the Conan sketch "Batman Wants To Join The Marvel Universe" [July 18th 2018 episode "Conan at Comic Con: The Cast and Creator of Breaking Bad"] parodying the DC Cinematic Universe struggles against the success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with Conan O'Brien as Batman, Chris Geere as Superman, Blake Anderson as Aquaman, Rob Huebel as Iron Man, David Koechner as Thor, Keegan-Michael Key as Black Panther, Riki Lindhome as Black Widow and an extra as Cyborg, and parodying all the sad rain in Batman Begins (2005), The Dark Knight Rises (2012) and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016).

I left out Curran Walters as Jason Todd from Titans (2018-2021) because he isn't the Grayson Robin.
