Description This is an idea for an image I've had for a long time now.
When I was doing a small press/indy comic in the 90s, I did a cover featuring a vampire leaning against a gravestone from behind as the hero of the book laid with a stake through his heart in front of the grave as the epitaph read "Here Lies" (and beneath the epitaph was the hero).

The book never took off and later that same group and I did a submission to send to Marvel Comics featuring Moon Knight when Marvel was going to do a new version of Epic Comics and taking submissions from indy comics creators in hoped of getting their work done with Marvel.
I pretty much took my same cover concept and put it to the character of Moon Knight and in place of the vampire I was going to put the villain Tombstone leaning over the grave from behind and crushing it with his fingers.

Well that attempt at doing a new Epic Comics fell through and Marvel cancelled the project.

Now I came across those old sketches of the Moon Knight project we were going to do from '03 and adapted it with Morbius: The Living Vampire behind the grave.
You'll notice I added Jack Russell: The Werewolf By Night into it. I'm not sure if he'll stay in there.
If so, I'll most likely give him a more imposing stance.
Either that, or I'll just render Morbius' cape and bank a smokescreen in front of it (behind the grave).

Although, I have to say that I'm partial to add the Werewolf, since that was one of my all-time favorite Moon Knight stories drawn by Bill Sienkiewicz where the two of them went up against one another.

I'm hoping to fit a polished pencil version into my penciling portfolio for Wizard World Chicago in August.
I'm doing pencils on my storypage submissions currently and if I can, I'll try and fit it in with a Batman one called Batman: Shakedown that I just posted yesterday (it's in my gallery).

Thanks for faving it, glad you liked it!
