I drew this last night because I've really had the drawing bug lately.Although the background is simple, I really spent a lot of time on the shading and fur style. >w< I would really appreciate feedback and comments!

Oh, I just used a bunch of photoshop techniques to get it looking nice! I made it with an ugly orange, and then I kept going over it with the dodge tool set to highlights, which made it lighter shades of yellow and then almost white, and then I smudged it all into the way I wanted which included making the flicks of fire going up and the glowies around it.

My pictures? I just save them and then I dump them in to stuff manually... XD
I did buy Photoshop Elements 7.0, which I would recommend getting Elements at some point if you want to go into a more professional stage of art. :3 Paint is a reeeeaally really nice thing to start with though. It teaches you the basics.

does the tablet have an art thingy on it like a program?

The tablet itself is like a mouse in pen and paper form. There is generally no screen on it, and it's just a USB tool to use in place of a mouse. :3 It makes drawing easier and more natural. Some packages do include Photoshop Elements... usually the Bamboo tablets... but I personally don't like them because of their dinkiness. I've also heard that they glitch certain computers out.

Well... when I first started out, I used everything pretty much for free. I started with Microsoft Paint and Windows Movie Maker (Which you can find on any normal Windows computer without Windows 7)... and then I got Unregistered Hypercam 2 (It's a free download from the Hyperionics website! I strongly suggest it!) And that helped with custom pans and things. :3 The trick is to just sit down and make something... just keep going until it's finished! And then you get better at it as you think of things to add or improve! ^-^
I love Kaipai... he's so much fun. I actually like his child self, though. [Gya I need to work on BoTC...]

Ooh!~ Yes, I do use a tablet. It's a very nice USB tablet... they usually don't come with movie programs, so I would just suggest learning what you have available at the moment. :3 After you learn enough programs, they all become a little similar to each other.
I'm really not that famous or out of the ordinary! XD
