This is absolutely, unbelievably amazing!!! I see trees reflected in water. I saw in your comments that it is sold. I hope they do it justice framing it, it would have looked awesome in a wide mat and slightly textured earth tone frame. 'sigh' I wish I owned it!

very balanced... I am currently trying some paintings on foam board. It is a really nice surface to work on. Must be clay coated or something. Really absorbent and non-forgiving. Nice gallery.g

i'd keep seeing them and never have the right words or enough time to praise them adequately.

i'm assuming it's the plaster(?) that gives it the 'raised' look,...right? that's excellant.
what i see when i look at this is candles set in globes on the far side of a body of water,...their
image being reflected in the water.
just my first impression really.
it's an excellant piece though. really inspires me and motivates my ungoing pursuit of abstract creation.
i love it.

it is both the plaster and the gradually drying of washes over washes that causes that effect. wish you could see it up close to really appreciate it... thanks so much for your words

I love the feeling of the reflection on the water . The implication of the winter sun in the painting is beautiful and makes me remember the smell of late autumn. Dead leaves, crisp air, quiet. Wonderful peice.
