Alright. Here's the Batman picture I have been working on. As you can see it's still a work in progress
Inspired by Jim Lee's work with him.
I have just got my very first graphics tablet and I'm practising getting the hang of it by trying to colour this picture that I inked previously.
I've still got a long way to go but since this is the first time I have used a tablet I thought I would throw this out there to get people's thoughts so far... or if they have any advice for me when working with a tablet.

This is incredible...thank you for sharing it with all of us. It would be great to see darker colours blended into his costume, to bring out the dark persona in Batman's character. But this is amazing nonetheless, hope to see it develop further. Just don't add bat-nipples to it like in the film 'Batman and Robin' and you'll be fine!

I did finally finish colouring this one (it's in my gallery somewhere) and it took me ages to finish.
Thankfully Bat-Nipples weren't included.

OMG ITS BATMAN
Very well captured. You got the bulkiness of his thighs and arms right and the body. The shadows are perfectly positioned giving nice depth to the image

Same as i said before man, the bg is nice. I like the inks as always, and the color scheme works well. The only gripei have is with the abs/ribs inks. The only reason i'm sayin this is because iwant to see the same look done again, but bring the rib cage up a bit higher so it doesn't look awkward. I really like the way it's inks mind you, the dark areas give adramatic feel, and works well for the bat.

To be honest... and it rarely happens, I'm actually pretty happy with how the inks turned out.
I have kept my original as just the inked picture.
I hear ya on the ribs though but there is no way in the world I am drawing this again... it took me frickin ages. lol

Naw i didn't mean draw it again, i meant on an image you do of say venom or your OC, try out the ink style on the ribs, but bring it up more. It looks awesome.

Yay, I like it! If one thing came to mind, maybe the shadow on the abdomen should be a bit lighter? Looks like he's wearing armor on his chest that is open at the borrom or else he did some really bad steroids.

YES. You have just shown me why I love Marvel and DC comics so much.
I think the sky and background farther from the moon could even be darker, because the shadows around Batman indicate mystery to me and I think they would make more sense if the night was really dark and mysterious. c:

It's taking me a while to get into the swing of things but I'm enjoying it thus far!

Your inks are really nice, i'd just like to say that haha.
Anyway, you're on an awesome start. The color tones are really nice for a base, i don't see any issues as that. If you want to get something really interesting, try to blend some darker colors from within those inked areas to get a nice shape, and put highlights in after that. You don't want to see the inks so much in an image of this type, sort of like you were trying to do a cover. A lot of comic art looks simple because it needs to be done fast, but i've seen some superb comic art like this stuff before and the way they blended and colored it was nuts. Like i said, just try to play off those lines anddark inks that you've created, and you should make something so bad ass you would make me like batman again
