That moment when you realize you said what you should never say to your friends.That has to be the most personal, deeply wounding thing I've heard said on this show. It wasn't just Gilda being rude, Diamond Tiara acting snobbish, or Trixie being boastful... it was sweet Fluttershy saying the most hurtful things possible to her dear friends.
My jaw hit the floor on quite a few of these scenes, like when Angel slaps her in the face to get his way. Shock followed by giggles.
Great episode. They're not afraid to really hit you hard on this show to get the point made.

What's even better is he had to cheat to get her to become cruel. All that with Iron Will was he gave her the advise, and some confidence, and it turned her into 'new' Fluttershy, which made her 'lonely' Fluttershy, and 'sad' Fluttershy. Poor Fluttershy.

Three Dimensional characters arcs.

THATS BECAUSE Discord was trying to make them do the opposites of their Element (of hamony) whereas Iron will was trying to get her to be more assertive and being assertive can come along the lines of being cruel so thats why Iron will got her further then discord :3 assertiveness comes with lots of bad qualities :3 and still nice :3

Well Discord "just" made her cruel, this was like Fluttercruel, Flutterrage and what ever you want to call the part of her that told Rarity *exactly* what was wrong with the dress she made all coming out at once.

Yeah, no excuse for Fluttershy being harsh sometimes. But Three-Dimensional characters with flaws and strengths characters is part of what makes the show so great.
