I've been a silent lurker for years, reading this story over and over again. Never have I been compelled (as deserving as you were) to comment on a page.
Everything about what is happening between these two is perfect. Perfectly written, beautifully drawn, and you have accomplished what is not only the BEST way to make material of this nature, but the RIGHT way - and that is to make the story and characters so engaging and believable, that you forget you're essentially reading porn!

Okay, so I haven't been on dA for a while and changed accounts and blahblahblah, so I apologize if I missed a crucial update or something explaining this. But I don't recall the first arc having any censoring. It didn't really process in my head at first but the second last (or last I'm not sure how the page/panel counting works) page it caught me off guard. Is this going to be continuing on? And if so why? I mean there's the mature content tag on it anyways. Did I miss that in the first arc and I just wasn't paying that close attention?

Loving the humour you have with these stories just as much as sunstone.
It's also worth mentioning how amazing it it is to see the evolution of artistic quality you've put into the pages over the years from chapter 1 of sunstone, to the pages present in mercy today. I always liked the art style in the original pages of sunstone, but it just got better and better, then occasionally there were those pages where it was like "wow, a living painting!"
It's great to get to see more past history of the characters, and see stories that weren't explored in sunstone. It's such a fun ride to see how the characters developed to who they are later.
It's always nice to find the little inbox notices that more pages have been posted, so thanks for continuing to make them n_n

here's how you do it:
you remind yourself that ally and alan have a past.
you remind yourself where that past is headed
you remind yourself that i probably know what i'm doing after 7 years of this and am doing this for a good reason, and then..you read.
you relax.
you don't spend all of the time reading thinking, but she should be with lisa... you just read.
you read a story about two friends with benefits walking a doomed path and realize that this isn't for them but they care too much for each other to let the friendship go so they become who they are later.
and this friendship helps alan immensely through some terrible times, and it helps ally later on through her own bad times.
or, option 2.
you stop reading.
i think that covers the main 2 pathways nicely 
after all, mercy is a long....looong storyarc. so if there is a time to bail, this would be it XD
i won't take it personally. we all have our story preferences
