So what did she mean by Marion went into "subspace"?Β what exactly happened there?Β I'm confused...

long story. call it ...a hormonal overload in her case. subspace on average is Β a combination of mental receptiveness and hormonal bombardment.
in this case wikipedia's definition is decent enough so :
- Subspace: A "natural high" that a sub (or bottom) gets during a scene or when being controlled. The sub may feel disconnected from time, space, and/or their body, and may have limited ability to communicate. It is critical that a Dom(me)/top take responsibility for the sub/bottom and be aware of their sub's well being if they are in subspace.

So even though Marion didn't want him to it was crucial for Alan to stop the scene right then and there.Β Gotcha

Hm. Sub frenzy's pretty typical. Neat to see it involved. Fifty Shades and all other seem to skip out on it because it's not romantic and causes people to spin out.Β

yeah... me its a mix of obsession and emotional that turned me away from some people. Seriously those people feel too disconnected from the real world, its like they think they live in a fairy-tale.

wow, get off of that high horse man
obsession can take a perfectly reasonable person without her/him(/me^^) noticing it
you completely lose touch to *real world* and lose interest in everything that was important to you before...till you go cold turkey and eventually learn to control it (abstinence is no control)

koveras-alvane In reply to nastynails [2012-08-16 06:03:19 +0000 UTC]
Which is why it's important to learn self-restraint early in one's life, so that no obsession can sneak up on you unnoticed. Marion obviously hasn't learned that, which is why I call her "little kid". Unfortunately, a lot of people I know IRL are much like her.

This is the second web-comic I've read calling that psychological state subspace...
I find that nerdy to an awesome degree! (when I was coming up there were a variety of other terms for it in my community but I never heard 'subspace' till recently, I love it!)
The first was collar 6 btw, in case you were wondering.

honestly i thought subspace was a myth. or something to accompany a sexy magic story.
Color me surprised when it turns out its not.
