Description I didn't draw weekly last week, but I've been doing my 3D character so haven't been idling... that project hopefully is done soon.

How long did it take you to draw in the style and at the level you do now?

I like the asymmetry and imperfections, I'd love to draw like that but my stuff just comes out as garbage. I'm further discouraged by friends who magically draw cool stuff with zero training lol

Hmm... hard to say. I've been drawing my whole life and doing 3D art for games 17years, but I didn't draw often so my 2D skills wasn't that good. Maybe 5-6 years ago I decided improve my 2D skills and started drawing first couple month everyday and then eased the pace to at least one doodle every week. And I think that's the key, only way get good is by drawing/painting as much you can. Β In one year I could see big improvements in both technical skills and speed comparing to days when I did only couple artwork in a year.

So my tip is keep drawing/painting, do it regularly, finish them and put them out for everyone to see. Don't worry about quality, everyone's first works are bad and everyone have bad days... and there is always someone who's better, faster and better looking than you . Just give up being best, be humble and relax. Your goal should be getting better so you can get your ideas on paper (or whatever your media is)Β like you see them in your head. Don't try be better than someone else, that road doesn't lead anywhere.

Another tip, how I work: Study others work. Try to figure out how they made it and how you can do same with tools you have and then try do same thing. Mimic how they do their art. Stuff like how someone draw legs or eyes and lips. Or how you can do same smooth shading what artist X have in their work.

This is a great piece. It gives so much mystery in one picture. What is it? Who knows. Why is it there? As story in itself. Keep it up buddy!
