As the generations pass on this strange world of ruinous beauty, the memories of how we, the Mobian race came to this place grow blurrier and blurrier as the young ones born to this world now consider it their home. Few remember the true details of the final war that ravaged our former world and hurtled our treasured islands through the anomaly to this place. Perhaps its for the better. With mutual survival as our highest goal, it may just be better to forget whose forefathers stood with the empire, and whose stood with the resistance.

Our legacy is this: The Great Mobian Oasis, a tribute to the calamitous wonder of the Shatterfall. Gone and broken is the Master Emerald, its thousands of pieces spread to the winds by the Void Storm. In its place, the seven Super Emeralds now hold aloft the broken pieces of the world we once knew. Perhaps we are all that is left of our beloved Mobius....

And yet, in the middle of inhospitable desert, our arrival brought with us the sweetness of our fresh waters, the greenery of our various zones, and even the remains of industry left by the mad Doctor. As we fight to survive on this new world we must pause again and reflect on the age old battle that ravaged the place we once called home; the battle between technological advancement and maintaining the ways of nature. Is our exile to this world punishment for our follies? For failing to find the balance between nature and industry? Or is there a chance that we've learned the lessons that our forebears failed to learn themselves...
