Somehow dosn't look right but I really need to get to bed D:

It's not done well at all so if you want you can have fun practicing critiques, I can already see heaps you could talk about, but I'm sure there are many things that I didn't even think about

aw when i first seen this i thought this is sooooo cute. i love the idea of a tree on a stack of rocks. i think the little model is sooo adorable as she tries so hard to reach and water the tree. absolutely adorable. OK here are a few suggestions to make this perfect. i think if you have the water continuing to fall down the rock like a waterfall would add to the hardship the little model has in trying to water the tree. sometimes it is so hard to get the colors to match each other. i know i struggle with this also. the little model is different than the rest of the picture. here is one of my favorite ways to fix this. go to image-adjustments-match color. in the pop-up at the bottom you will see source. change from none to the name of the project, it will ask which layer to use i would use my background layer as a match color. it will then color the model to the background colors. you can adjust by using the color intensity leaver. there is another way if you have several levels to adjust including the background. on the bottom of the layers pallet you will see a button half white half black called adjustment layer. it is best to make a new layer when using this. play around with all the features to see what you come up with.
here are a few more ideas you can put in if you want. when ever it seem like a dark and dreary day or foggy i always like to put a small break in the cloud and have a little sun shine coming in. maybe have the sun shinning on the little girl and tree to brighten the picture up. i always like to put a little magic in my pics. i really think it is so magical that a tree is growing on the top of a stack of rocks. maybe a little sparkle may make it look magical.
you have such a great idea going on here and a few tweaks will really make this pop. i hope this helps e.deviantart.net/emoticons/h/h… " width="15" height="13" alt="" title="Heart"/>

I think this is really nice...a great concept and nice execution. The tonality may be what is bothering you....maybe some opaque gaussian blur shading would help? Or I like the idea of a break in the clouds with some rays shining per the crit. Maybe it's that the background hills are too blurry? Super sweet nevertheless. I have a fondness for this subject (one of my collections is named 'world tree') and I think you've brought something extra to the image with the child's viewpoint.

Thank you. And thanks for the critique.
I tried what you said about colour match, i actually hadn't done that before..
well it didn't make really any difference with this picture, but i tried it on my next one, and it was great so much faster than my usual method of curves - hue/sat - curves - hue/sat. lol
Thanks I'm so glad i learnt from doing this great idea

Where'd you get the idea for this one? very surrealistic.

It's in the artist comments, it was for a challenge for a group. I didn't come up with the general idea, sort of just designed it.

Well, that's cool. Anyway, I think it's kind of Dali...even though, his art work was little wierder. Man, my art teacher's making me research him. Oh well.

Haha. I had to research him and surrealism in year 10. Maybe I'll take a photo of my surreal painting I did for that class and upload it. Lol
