Name: Maelstrom – Storm for short (a maelstrom is a turning storm or whirlpool of hidden power and is quite destructive)

Age: 23

Bone Colour: Blue

Class: Energy

Gender: Male

Rider: Tohry/Stormryda

How you came up with him/her: To be honest – no idea. I think I dreamed about him once, he looked very different with blue tiger stripes (now belonging to Stylth- a Psi class) and in dreams you don’t see much, you just sort of see people more by feel and intuition but in my dream he was my dragon. The first picture I drew of him has the stripes. I can’t sleep a lot so I tell myself stories in my head until I start to dream for real – sort of day dreaming I guess – I had been watching A LOT of Dragon Booster so DB it was. He was in it as a different character, not my dragon, but when I finished the story he was really stuck in my head. I couldn’t get him out and I had to draw him. It took a bit of pattern evolving until I got him how he is supposed to look. I am typing the story up now.

History: Storm had a good pup-hood, being raised by his parents (mother- Tempyst and father Thundaa) in a proper breeding stable alongside his sister Raynn and brother Boltt rather than in a commercial breeding factory. He stayed at the stables until his early teens when he was bought by a man as a riding dragon for his son. They both got along quite well and even competed in street races and ran with the Inner Order crew before his rider was tragically taken from him. He believed his rider was dead but the need to care for an injured girl helped his grief, and he then became attached to her and pledged loyalty to her.

Personality: Storm is a real character. He has a mad sense of humour and quick wit and is quite often behind many practical jokes. When he is happy he bounces up and down and clicks his teeth together much like an over-excited 4 year old jumping and clapping their hands in glee. He is not a complete clown, however, he has a serious side when it is necessary and will not back down from a fight. He is fiercely loyal, like all blues, and will attack anyone if he feels his rider is in danger from them. If he were a dog I would say he’d be a Staffordshire Bull Terrier – they have the same mad sense of humour and fierce loyalty.
