So--I colored something! I even (gasp) added a background! I admit, I am not totally happy with it, but it will do for the now...I played with a few things and didn't like the first couple...the colors in this one seemed to kind of work with him. My BF suggested that I use an orange background--sunset or something, because the colors would offest him well...I gave it a shot and it was just not happening. So I went with this instead.

So, as I mentioned when I posted this in it's sketch form, it was only ever intended to be a practice piece for photoshop coloring...which is what i did with it today and I am super happy with the results! I know that in some ways he is not perfectly anotomically correct...like I said, he was a crappy old drawing for practice....that's all. He just turned into a charmer.

I have to thank abuze for posting super dooper photoshop coloring tutorials...the were sooo helpful. (really pretty art too.)

So stand back and revel in the glory of ....my very first piece of art colored exclusively in photoshop!!!
