I like the lineart version of this, too, but I think I like the colored version a bit more.

The curls are what impress me most. The whole pic looks great, but the curls best of all

Wow, this looks completely new from the original line art. The colors and cel technique really make it pop. The hair is gorgeous (perhaps a wedding do?). I agree with the pearls not looking too hot, have you thought of erasing them and redoing them in photoshop? It might look unnatural, but that seems like the big thing with animation companies now to mix in "CG" with traditional animation. When they blend it together well and pull it off it looks really good. I also like the very subtle blush in the cheeks. Nice work.

LOL you have 'wedding' on the brain or something. What's up with that? You got this wild desire to conquer me!!! Weirdo.
I'm not really a fan of that CG/cel-shading mix that they've been doing in animation as of late, but thanks for the suggestion. I don't think I'd be able to make it mesh very well anyway.

This is absolutely gorgeous. I think the cellshading looks marvelous.
And her hair is so nifty. I'd so love hair like that. :3

Thank you very much! The cel-shading thing has taken me a while to grasp, so I am glad to hear it's working out well.

Thank you very much! When I first started working on the hair, it was looking really weird and I was scared it wasn't going to turn out.
I hope I can keep getting better at this cel stuff.

Do you remember a debate you and Marie had awhile ago, about computer art vs. traditional art? And how you said CG is just as difficult because you still have to know where the placement goes, all that changed was how you put the color on there?
Maybe that's why you 'suddenly' got good. The last peice you did cel-shading on, that I can remember, was the AEC Mascot. That was a couple of years ago, and you've had time to develop your skillz in art period. So when you tackled the tablet again for Crim's Vampire character, it just clicked.
Well, that's my theory on how it happened anyway. XD!!!
I personally like her eyes. They're not like...how do I put this? Every time I see eyes in cel-shading, they look the same, but your eyes, I can tell that they are yours. You know what I mean? Or am I putting that badly? -_-;
That hair is awesome though. Damn. :applause:

You actually like those eyes? I thought they looked kinda shoddy. Or really, REALLY amatuer.
Yeah...I just thought they sucked. LOL.
HAHAHAHA no tablet used here! Just the pen tool and lasso. Actually, I colored this much the same way I cel-shaded before, just a tad different and...a lot better....

Der. Before you go thinking I'm an idjit, yeah, I know you had to use a mouse for the vampire. I have *NO* clue why I said tablet. Ignore my lapse into bubble brain territory. -_-;
