Description Vancouver band Grave Maker, opening night of their Canadian tour with Comeback Kid at the Plaza Club in Vancouver.

There was a lot of jumping during their set, but the lighting wasnt great. Which was why out of the 15 total shots I took, 5 of which were jumping, this one was perfect.

I love it when venues know enough to use yellow or orange gels instead of red. Red just blows everything out, orange does this.

Gravemaker was first of 6 bands to hit the stage.

Yeah, I shot for a gig that had red lights!

I had to use my flash to neutralize the blown out red parts... the on camera flash too!

It was just for fun and practice though, still not up to the task of charging for shooting for people!

Did you do much free shooting for gigs before now?

The big wigs i have to apply for, then i can sell the photos to magazines and stuff, so its a harsh market.

the locals will usually hire me to shoot for them
