haha. well, im just glad to get this one done, blargh and blech!photoshop and wacom, new approach of drawing, mostly manual selection of colours yadi yadi ^^
oh and the title's more sarcastickindaish ^^

Well for me ,just as it is for many of you, it is the first impression of the emotion in the picture thats really captures me in an instant. Sad as it is I guess that, for me at least, there is something more to it. Like what they are really doing and what they call "saving lives" aint really about what they think it is. Or maybe its actually an invasion force that got in trouble and only those two survived an attack in this city.
I dont know if anyone else ,then the creator himself, have notice that the fox in the background has his ears lowerd as if sad. And because of that, for my part of view, both of them seems really sad and not just the one with the mask off.

The real appeal of this to me is the emotion.
It'd be totally different if both foxes had their gas masks on, because the masks look sad in a cartoony sort of way. Then there'd be the juxtaposition of the sign with the destruction and the fact that the people look sad but don't seem to be real.
However... the way it's drawn, you can see that there is a genuine life and emotion behind the suited people. Presumably, their motto or justification is something like, "We save lives," and the unmasked figure seems to really be thinking about what that's supposed to mean.
It's hard to describe why the look of the unmasked one appeals to me so much, but that's what makes this picture great to me.
Incidentally, the look of the fur is quite nice too.

hmm, gas masks are always cool ; . ; but aye. thats the point nobody thought of XD that the unmasked figure feels that there's something wrong with their way of "saving lives" or something.

The tail of the chopper, as a nice moving and smoke effect. The environment is a tad weird though, to me that is. But itΒ΄s mainly has you said, sarcastickindaish whaever xD
