I noticed people had done things like this for other fandoms, but I couldn't find one for JTHM. So here you go.I noticed Anne Gwish there had a Johnny the Hammicidal Maniac Poster in the comic, which is why I used her.
To all you drooling fangirls, you only see Johnny as he is drawn. 2-D characters are almost never unatractive to our eyes because of their symmetry lack of major detail. It gives the illusion of smooth skin a nice complection. In real life, Nny would likely be ugly as sin, covered in scars, and his bony-ness would look gross and painful.
Not sexy at all.

Why is it I only seem to draw Johnny with the same expression over and over? Geez, you'd think I could be more creative but no...I just have to be lazy and boring.
Also, sorry if the coloring looks weird, I'm trying something new and haven't quite gotten the hang of it yet.

o yeahhhh! *MOMMENT OF CLEARITY* Good point! i mean in the comics he's sort of cute.....but in genral i could never think of his as a romantic intrest! i meam somtimes pepole tend to forget the big picture..........HES A HOMOCIDIAIL MANIAC!!!!! even if he was attrective he would still prabably kill you.....i mean Jhonen prably put denvi i there for other reasons!

If anything his relationship with Devi was to show why Nny COULDN'T be in a relationship. I love him as a character, but every time I see "OMG I <3 HIM HE IS MAH BOYFRIEND ;D !!!111!!!1!"...just, no.

And your picture brings up many half-hidden snickers from me, really.
I'm glad that, while in the comic he does look as though he could be rather desirable (depending on what you find attractive), giving people that thing to emotionally connect with. The whole "Ugh- I'd bang him so hard, we'd love each other forever." feeling does tend to give people a stronger... love for a character.
But my god. Sickly yellow, covered in scars, deathly thin, with the most sunken eyes ever, and probably not smelling too nice (Rotting corpses can't be the nicest perfume, can they?) can't be too attractive.
It's a sad thought, but... Johnny isn't sexy. Maybe he's got a few attractive qualities (i.e. large eyes, long fingers, an obviously lithe and graceful figure, and interesting fashion sense.) It doesn't make up for the fact that well... He's a killer, over anything else.
BAH! I digress.
Really, it's a terribly amusing picture, and I find Johnny's expression to be entertaining more than anything else.

I've thought about this before. A person who doesn't eat or sleep would proooobably not look very appealing at all. He said himself that he's not nice to look at. Then again, it's obvious he's got some srs self esteem issues. Another argument I came up with (yes, I debate with myself on weird stuff) was that Devi did ask him out. Not to imply she's shallow at all, but she is pretty and I'm sure has some standards when it comes to attraction. Or maybe she was just attracted to his personality. OR MAYBE I'm way overanalyzing this shit again.
Ahem so yeah this picture is lovely and made me giggle and you bring up a great point. :D

Well, I once met a guy and at first I didn't find him attractive at all, but the more I got to know him I couldn't remember why because he was so sweet.
Devi knew Johnny a while before asking him out, and was even going on dates with other guys. She may not have found him good looking at first, maybe he just grew on her after she got to know him. Trust me, you're not the only one who over-analyzes these thngs.

That's how my mind works; there may be no initial physical attraction but the more we bond the more attractive I perceive them to be. Heck, that's exactly what happened with my current boyfriend of like, 3 years.
Indeed. From what we know, they had plenty of conversations over a decent amount of time and clearly connected on a deeper level. And I don't think she was as sick of dating and jaded at that point as she is now and therefore more willing to take a chance on him. (oh god I just don't stop do I)

Yeah, really. I had someone fave one of my old works because I drew NNY naked holding a gun. When I went to check out her gallery she had done a bunch of NNY/MMY.
I was a little sick in the stomach. lol.

I know from experience a lot of 'fans' haven't; at least not all of it.
I mean, I understand if you're having trouble finding a copy, I had to wait weeks for mine, but if your going to ship a pairing at least know SOMETHING about who you're pairing together. Like the fact Nny HATES Mmy.

Well, the simple fact that NNY not only hates fluids and anything to do with the body but he also kills his lovers before the relationship can even get to a sexual interaction.
