Haha, yeah, I agree with most of the commenters here. That beat panel makes the whole thing a lot funnier. I honestly don't know how the sentence "Give me bread" can be worked into the English language, the exception being in close vicinity of a duck pond, but that's just me. Also, I can't help but wonder what that silhouette of a person is doing holed up in their apartment in panel one. Just standing there. And staring.
