Day lilies in my parents yard.

For a good portion of my childhood, my mother was obsessed with day lilies. She would drag me and my very unwilling sister all over hell's half acre looking for new and exotic day lilies. Purple, pale lemon yellow, fuzzy centered, double petaled you name it, we hunted it down and bought it. Now my parents are more into low maintenance gardening and nothing is more low maintenance than good old fashion orange ditch lily.

That and hostas.
