I had to get this out of my system. It is Halloween and all!

The above drawing features my favorite character from Return of the Living Dead, Ernie Kaltenbrunner, played by the incomparable Don Calfa. And I threw Tarman in there too, cause he's awesome.

I'm actually not a big fan of modern, in-your-face gorefests (I'm more of a classic horror gal), but I've always loved ROTLD. I can't even begin to count how many times I saw this film as a kid. I dug it and still do, with all its campy, witty, dark humor.

I just bought the movie on DVD from the UK (since apparently it's the only place I can find the film with its original audio track), and it inspired this piece. I banged it out pretty quickly once I worked out the composition.
