Oh, no, I can't take credit for them.

These are screenshots from episodes (these are from A Bird in the Hoof) put together in Manga Studio.

I would prefer to do them by hand but it takes so long to vector or paint that screenshots are the best I can manage most of the time.

Ah, I see. You should know that it's against deviantART's rules to post anything that you didn't make from start to finish. That includes screenshot comics. It's probably in your best interest to take these down, before you get into trouble with the DA admins.

Ive done dozens like these & comedic parody still counts as art form since the artist is not taking credit for drawing it and giving credit where its due. Theres actually a crap ton of tracers on DA but theyre still hanging around

i at least acknowledge that i traced, where as most just take an original piece of work, draw over it with pencil and paper, then post it like its their own

Well, just my opinion; but I don't really see it as all that different from using clips of video from the show like some of the community does on youtube(friendship is witchcraft is awesome), or vectoring (tracing) from screencaps of the show, and not really far removed from using a screencap as a reference to draw a pony (which i enjoy doing from time to time).

I think it's important to remember that no one in the community owns the show, but without the community the show would hardly be a blip on the radar.

All I'm trying to do with the comics is have a good time and share that good time with the other bronies out there in cyberspace. If I'm ever forced to take these down, I guess all good times come to an end.
