I'm sure the IxF tones are obvious. But the "Stay with me" doesn't have to be interpreted as only a thought between the two. When I look at this piece, it's also me thinking that from the standpoint of an artist toward their muse. That's the reason I made this to begin with. Originally this was going to be titled "My Muse." I wanted to make a little something for the subject that inspires me so much.I know it might sound silly to call a couple characters that I don't even own my "muse," but truly they deserve that title. I haven't merely been inspired to draw and write- I've been inspired to get better. (Oh trust me when I say, I'm nowhere near being able to draw them the way I really want to.)
I've been influenced in other good ways too. This pairing went as far as opening up my mind more. It inspired me to ask questions about the world and about life that I wouldn't have wondered about otherwise. The list goes on and on. (Saving the details to avoid an even longer description.)
So the "don't leave me" is also a message of hoping the inspiration doesn't die (or that Oda doesn't smash this to smithereens
). I've hit "bumps in the road"- people against the pairing, people saying some alternative pairing for F or I is "SO MUCH BETTER THAN YOUR STUPID ONE", people saying my art stinks or is downright worthless, people saying that the characters are boring or stupid (I don't know exactly what Oda wants but MY interpretation of F&I goes deep) -you get the idea. Honestly there are times it gets a bit overwhelming. I shouldn't let other people clip my wings though. Hang in there with me, "Muse." This picture is wonderful.
And so is your description. I feel exactly the same way towards so many characters that have inspired me, and sometimes I think I'm crazy, but other times I just think it's my right to be a fangirl

As long as the excitement doesn't cause a bunch of trouble, I don't see the harm in being enthusiastic over a story or characters.

Really nice atmosphere... I can't find the word to describe it at the moment, but it's light and soothing.
I'm pretty sure those people who have flamed IxF have mostly lost their reasoning due to their support for other pairings ._.'.... The amount of depth you went into this pairing outweighs the amount they ever thought about the pairings they support (probably..... there might be a few exceptions...) Even though you'd do it without me telling you, keep on supporting what you like!

Good! I really wanted it to come across as a warm sort of light to help the emotions of the picture. -Maybe you should try out using textures some time.
(lol Yeah... Not many people write RIDICULOUSLY long essays about the pairings they like.

xD.... I should try textures, but I have an odd obsession with avoiding to use other people's brushes(with except of the ones with come with the program) and textures. This is mainly because I find it troubling to keep track of crediting everything I use (especially when there's a bunch of them). I'll kick that obsession out, and I'll try it out after all my finals are done with (>.> I don't like finals).
xD It's long, but it's not ridiculous. ^.^ It just shows how dedicated you are to the pairing. I don't think I'll ever be able to think as deeply as you do when it comes to pairings. Thanks xD

You can use photographs for textures (and potentially brushes if you edit things). Then you wouldn't have to worry about credits since you took the pictures. Have a textured wall or ceiling? Carpet? Photo time!

xD True. I lost my camera though xD... I hid it somewhere, and forget where I hid it >.>.... Cell phone pics aren't really good either xD. So I'll have to rely on crediting people for now xD.

I'm sure your Muse won't let you down and will stay with you! I don't think any of your consideration is silly, if anything, I really understand what you mean.

I hope that everything works out in the end. For now, I'm just thankful I got so much from it already. I wish that all other artists could have this sort of experience with their own type of muses.

I can also see the message as coming from the subjects to the artist. Too many times have I seen people cast aside their "favorite" character and go on to bigger and better things only to say they now hate the love they once had. It sickens me. I know you're better than that. Even if you go through a lapse wherein FxI doesn't bring creativity as it once did, you won't abandon them and say you were just young and stupid for ever liking them.
I really like this piece. It's quite lovely. I can't wait for your next awesome picture ^^.

Oh man. When people do that... It's practically a pet peeve of mine. XD; I don't understand why people have to act ashamed of what they've liked in the past. My roommate and I were just talking about this actually and she suggested that it's similar to when first graders begin bashing Barney because "That's for preschooler and I'm so much older than that." LOL A sort of child-like mentality that putting down the thing you once liked will prove that you've grown. In reality, it doesn't show that one has made any actual advancements. XD "Advancement" shows itself elsewhere. Too bad people choose to shout to the world that they hate what they once loved instead of just moving on quietly (maybe laughing about the past instead).
FxI has rewarded me in too many ways for me to do that.
