I finally found the energy and the enthusiasm to finish a drawing before the year 2008 ends.
Took me quite a while but I think it's all worth it.
This is Donnie Yen....a martial artist...an actor...
He may not be as famous as my idol Bruce Lee...
or Jacky Chan or Jet Li....
but I believe he's one of the "true" martial artists out there.
I dedicate this drawing to ...
I know he's one of his favorites.

wow this picture is amazing.... it looks very very authentic and the coloring... for exemple all the shadoweffects on this fingers/ hand.. and the many fine details of his face. Great. You gave a lot of troubles for this work <3
Donnie Yen is an great actor and fighter ^__^... it was surprising but yesterday I saw a movie of D. Y too... he plays the role: The tutor of bruce lee ' Ip Man'

Yeah, I watched that movie too...
I just didn't like his hair - too short for his face.
And in case you haven't seen it - "FLASH POINT" is also good.
And check out WU JING - another upcoming martial artist with real kung fu.

Ah Flash Point? I' ve seen it too ^__^ but it was a long time. I could remember... his fantastic technic when he stays behind his disputant. And then he runs to them and trys to catch them with a hard jump >< yeah xD

Just to let you know, I've bought the DVD on the story of Yip Man, but have yet to watch it.
I'm still busy watching "The New Legend of Bruce Lee".
I thought it's a movie - it's NOT..it's a TV series!!! 
But I've learned a lot more about my idol and the actor there really looks like him.
I would recommend it if you have the time.
