I don't think clones work that way a clone of a person still has feelings and wants of their own.

Yeeesh! Elle's possible fate makes me think of the elevator scene from "Cabin in the Woods." 0_o;;

But wouldn't that mean Elle was two separate entities? If they exist separately, are they two people or one person? The one that had to go with him just lost the coin toss? Do they share the same soul? Is one more Elle than the other? Did Elle inadvertently commit suicide or murder?
Mias answers one question but leaves so many more.

Huh. I think what I don't understand now is that, if the split was successful, why would it not matter if she died? doesn't he need her to do....whatever it is?
or would he still care, just on a much, much smaller scale? As in, as long as she is still alive despite being banged up and bleeding half her organs out, does she still count as an asset?

If there were two Elles, and one died, he would just go kidnap the other.

Which would might be harder, considering she would still remember him and what he kinda did, so she would IDK... Keep some kind of weapon with her in case he would try that again? Well, we still don't know how strong Mias' magical and physical power is, so he would maybe have to try it harder, but still end up kidnapping her.

Well, gee Mias. Since it was so very important that she not see her dopleganger, one would think that you'd at least think of something as basic as a blindfold to keep her from seeing it. Me thinks he's full of it and is using it as an excuse to keep her.
