Nick's always stopping Ellis from dying.

The horde seemed to go on forever, head after head of infected scurrying out of buildings and climbing over fences.

"Shit man, I dun' know how much long'r I c'n take of dis shiet." Ellis breathed as he slashed a couple more heads. The safehouse was tantalizingly close, and yet each beat of the heart made it seem that much further.

Ellis stumbled as handful of infected smothered him. He cried out as he pushed and swiped, but he just couldn't keep his footing.

Just then, he felt someone press against him, it was Nick. He grabbed Ellis' melee weapon and held it as if he was his own, slashing heads and limbs as they pressed forward.

"Nick, you c'n jus' use yer own we'pun" Ellis groaned as he slumped against the man.

"Dropped em." Nick simple replied with a smirk as he finished off the last of the infected. Ellis thankfully leaned against him. He looked down at his soiled clothing, noting how cleaner Nick was compared to him.

"Hey wait a sec, you we'r usin' me as sumsorta human shield! Nick yer an asshole!" Ellis glared at him. Nick just smiled

"Damn, figured me out." Nick said with a wink.
