Description The first time we saw her, in the courtyard of the small building in whose basement we lived, we mistook her for a mouse.
It was a dark little ball that ran very fast to go and hide in a hole in the wall of the building next door.
Then we realized that instead it was an extremely frightened kitten, its tail always swollen and threatening.
One day, coming home from work while it was snowing, as soon as I entered the house my husband said, "I caught the kitten! I lured her into the house with a fishing pole!"
Obviously the kitten was terrified but seemed to appreciate the heat (relative, it was 18 degrees in that basement!), the couch and the food.
She was obviously sick and the vet told us she did not have a long life expectancy, a chronic thyroid problem for which she would have to take tapazole for life.
Fortunately, if I crumbled it into her gruel, she took it with no problem, because she would not let me touch her, and every time we had to put her in the carrier, strategy and coordination were required.
She quickly became attached to Wicked, who reciprocated in her own way.
She loved watching animal documentaries on the TV, which I turned on just for her, and playing with balls and fur mice.
She let us pet her for the first time in four years, and it was an event for us.
She followed us for two moves, always slept with us, and, to the vet's credit, lived for 16 years.
Topotto adored her and followed her everywhere.
She passed away last year, for a tumor in her nose, and now she sleep next Malvagio and Topotto.
I'm sure Topotto was waiting for her.
A couple of monts after her death we found a very debiltated sick tabby kitten and we bring her home.
They always send someone to take their place and be sure we are loved.
