here's my entry for udon studio's "darkstalkers tribute book"...i've been dying to post it , and now that the books are published, i'm finally allowed to! i wasn't very familiar with the game when i began working on this piece, but once i began to do some research, demonic guitar player lord raptor stood out to me as a character that i could have a lot of fun with.i've seen a bunch of the artwork for the tribute popping up on deviant...each and every one of the selected entries is unique and amazing. if you can't make it to one of the cons that udon will be at, here's a link to order the hardcover online!

EXCELLENT STYLE OF ART, THIS IS PROBABLY THE COOLEST THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN LORD RAPTOR (who is by far the coolest character from Darkstalkers) LOOK. GREAT WORK!!!

Very dynamic composition and pose, has kind of an 80's vintage, grind house feel to it, but still manages to be very organized and clean. It looks like vector work, but I'm not entirely sure. Was this done in illustrator?
