Hey Brandon, I currently haven't done any print runs of this pic yet, but could sort something out for you depending on size and what you want it printed for

Thanks for the reply. I'm thinking 30 X 42 cm for a wall print for myself. Thanks :0)

Looking at a place where I get some prints done, the size you are after A3 would be around $25, but if you want to go the next size bigger A2 (42x57cm)it would be $30

A2 Would be great. Is there a way I can send you a private email to arrange payment?

Oh wow, the kangaroo on their website doesn't seem to be the same one you've rendered here lol

I love the head room you let him have. Gives off quite the dark ambience~

Yeah there is a couple differences in the costume, I just wanted some more details :]
The top was left open for the text for the cover, but I quite like it with all that breathing space too. Thanks again boss!

HOLY EPIC.

This is probably the single best piece of art I've seen for such a thing. If there's one thing that stands out to me here, it is definitely the lighting. It just really draws the eye to certain areas of the picture such as the hand and ears. Speaking of which, those ears came out so well! They look very lifelike and fuzzy, which is definitely appropriate for the audience. And makes sense as to why they'd be accentuated since I suppose it's accentuating the "furness?"

Reading through the comments, indeed, I notice a certain signature character is missing from this piece, but that's understandable, especially since it would be a bit difficult to implement.

The eye being drawn in was an excellent idea. Otherwise I would think the character is looking down or something! Textures as usual are immaculate.

I think we talked about this over MSN, but I'm definitely stoked to see you submitting stuff more frequently. By the way, do you consider yourself a furry then, Stu?

Thanks for the huge complements bro! I really appreciate you taking the time to type these out :]

With the ears I actually got to go up close to some Kangaroo earlier that week, so that was a bit of inspiration to get the fuzz right. It wasn't there in the original con book print, but I've gone back and added it in a pretty subtle way (think I will be the only one who knows where).

I wasn't originally going to have the eye in there, it was an experiment and a bit of fun from my side as I thought it may have come off slight sinister maybe. But the organisers really liked it so it stayed in.

Yeah I'm on a good roll at the moment, have had to sacrifice a couple events just to get some of these done, but having a good time painting these anthro pics for sure :]

You are like the king of references! Perhaps that's one of the keys to why your pics are so lifelike. You really do try to make your work resemble the real thing.

Haha, I really don't think the eye looks sinister either.

And yeah man, the work and time you put into these pictures shows.

Breathtaking!

What I love the most is the air of mystery that you evoked by using the shadows so well.

Anthro art at its finest. Congratulations.

stucat In reply to TsukiaStar [2012-05-11 07:52:44 +0000 UTC]

Thank you! I think it's easier to make something pop more digitally though. Traditional is where the real skill is at!

TsukiaStar In reply to stucat [2012-05-11 08:03:17 +0000 UTC]

Hmmm just because it's "easier" to make something pop in a different medium doesn't make it any less skilful Every method finds a way to "cheat".

stucat In reply to TsukiaStar [2012-05-11 10:55:33 +0000 UTC]

that is true, I just think more highly of traditional media.

true, I do like the notion of the end product - a physical one off that cannot easily be replicated
