Thanks. I can take credit for the capture of the moment, but the exposure is due to the camera. I'm still getting used to the metering - AF-linked spot metering + multi-spot is one of the coolest things I have ever, ever seen.

This was beautifully done! Great use of DOF and you really capture her emotions about going to the prom. Great job!
Here are some things I would think about.
One thing that I would recommend for next time is getting the bottom of her pearl necklace. I'm not sure how much it would take away from the portrait, but that's just me.
Oh, and there is a line on her cheek from where shadow and sun meet. It's a little distracting as it looks like its a hot spot from over exposure, but the exposure seems right now to me. Hmmm, not sure.
