Description About a century after the Hana and Set orbital battle over Exo-2 (human name), the Alliance were able to develop a transforming aircraft based on the Hana technology that they have been trying to reverse engineer.  The AP-1 Asp (human reporting name) combines combustion engine powered propellers, with Hana transforming mecha technology and anti-gravity technology.  With its combination of air-to-air fighting, air-to-ground attacking, and anti-armour capabilities, the fighter won great war gains for the Alliance against their primary rival, the Orthodoxy (an alliance that refuses to use or reverse engineer Hana technology on religious regions).

Against the fighters from Earth, the AP-1 Asp is outclassed in terms of speed and payload.  On the other hand, it has superior low-speed manoeuvrability, is surprisingly nimble especially when the anti-gravity devices are used, and packs enough punch to be dangerous.

Armaments:
4x machine-guns (2x on each inner wing) - anti-aircraft and ground strafing attacks
4x anti-armour large rocket launchers (intake cowls/forearms)
6x hardpoints (outer wingtips, either medium-rockets or bombs)
2x arm gun pods (outer sides of intakes/forearms) - anti-armour attacks

Design notes:
This stemmed from asking "what kind of CF would result from the Hana technology falling into the hands of a pre-industrial revolution society be like?" along with a host of questions on how the society would be distorted.  In addition to the uniqueness of a combustion engine, propeller powered CF, I made it a point that the inhabitants of Exo-1 got (developed may be a better term) a different aspect of the Hana technology (namely anti-gravity).  There are 3 emitters on the ASP-1: inside the nose, and propeller cones.  It also gives the Combatoid the ability to take flight - something that I was grappling with at the start of the design process (turning the rearward facing propellers vertical into a kind of helicopter was one design concept that rapidly fell to the wayside).
The aircraft's shape is based off of the Hana shocktrooper fighter, with some tweaking to make it consistent with WWII-era aircraft shapes and designs.
